Provide Cars exports into all the major ports of Australia; Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth and Melbourne. The general shipping method is RORO (roll-on, roll-off) although the more expensive shipping method of containers can be arranged on request
No extra inspections are required after purchasing and before exporting to Australia. Provide Cars arranges the standard export procedures (deregistration/export certificate) for Australian customers. Occasionally a customer will request the delay of the export of their vehicle until an import approval has been accepted.
This is however potentially a need to get the vehicle’s aiconditioning system degassed if you or your compliance contact does not have the appropriate qualifications to degas in Australia. In this case the vehicle will be degassed in Japan by a ligitimate authority with the needed documentation for release in Australia.
Any vehicle manufactured in Japan (or any other country) before January 1989 is importable into Australia. Manufacture after January 1989 requires compliance approval upon arrival into Australia. Only certain vehicles can obtain compliance. See this link for a list of compliable cars into Australia. See this link for a data base of compliance (RAWS) companies. This means there are no European cars sold in Japan younger than January 1989 that you can import into Australia.
