Recruit, which operates the used car information site “Car Sensor,” has revealed that it will suspend listings of vehicles handled by major used car dealer Big Motor from the 9th of August, 2023. Similarly, the used car search service site “Goo-Net” also no longer features listings of Big Motor’s vehicles.
As of July 21, approximately 20,000 vehicles, constituting 4% of the entire Car Sensor site, were Big Motor’s cars.
Amid the revelations of fraudulent activities such as inflated claims for car insurance compensation, groups within the used car Japanese industry are reconsidering their relationship with “Big Motor”, Japan’s biggest used car dealer.
