Shipping
Provide Cars exports into all the major ports of Australia; Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth and Melbourne. The general shipping method is RORO (roll-on, roll-off) although the more expensive shipping method of containers can be arranged on request
Pre-shipping requirements
No extra inspections are required after purchasing and before exporting to Australia. Provide Cars arranges the standard export procedures (deregistration/export certificate) for Australian customers. Occasionally a customer will request the delay of the export of their vehicle until an import approval has been accepted.
This is however potentially a need to get the vehicle’s aiconditioning system degassed if you or your compliance contact does not have the appropriate qualifications to degas in Australia. In this case the vehicle will be degassed in Japan by a ligitimate authority with the needed documentation for release in Australia.
Import Limitations
25 year old vehicles can now be imported into Australia. The old air conditioning gas needs to be removed before export. The laws are changing for Australia with more emphasis on hybrid and electric vehicles being allowed into the country.
